A review of the old business was conducted.  Ed said that it may be possible for us to obtain access to the flight planning room thus eliminating the need for a drop box.  He said that he would bring this up at the Airport Authority meeting.

Rick Raines brought the membership up to date on the repairs to N4394L.  The repairs should be complete by March 18th.  The estimated damage was $1800.00. All paperwork has been filed with American Eagle Insurance Company.

A discussion on offering Orientation rides to prospective members was held.  Ed stated that many people come to the airport asking about the club or wanting to go on trips.  It was felt that offering orientation rides may be a good way to increase our membership.  A meeting with Markku and the other officers will be called by the President to explore this.

FLY IN DISCUSSION

Ed Foster outlined the help that the flying club could provide for the Fly In.  Setting up a secure perimeter around the runway during the show is required by the FAA- The club agreed to help with this as well as parking transient aircraft.  Additionally a gate monitor will be provided to take entrance fees and disseminate club flyers.

A decision was made to sell rides rather than sell food at the event.  Markku and Raimo have agreed to help with the flying.  Rates for the rides were proposed at $15 for adults and $5 for children.  It was proposed that children be accompanied by an adult.  Ed also ask for help in: finding old motor oil for pyrotechnics finding tables for the Sat. night pilot s party, finding an airboss, and finding entertainment for that evenings festivities.  In addition any help on Friday April 12th would be very helpful to Ed.

Other issues discussed for further thought were: addition of a second airplane, IFR equipping N4394L, adding a file cabinet to the flight planning room and overhauling the club's files.  The meeting was adjourned at 0010Z.
